Customers of OMPA member utilities can be eligible to participate in this incentive-based demand response program. They must have a Smart Thermostat that is connected to Wi-Fi.
The demand response program involves customers allowing OMPA to adjust their thermostat by a few degrees during peak demand times. It is entirely voluntarily and customers can opt out at any time. For more on the program, see Virtual Peaker.
