Holman Elected To APPA Board

Cindy L. Holman, Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority’s (OMPA) General Manager, has been elected to the American Public Power Association’s (APPA) Board of Directors.  The election took place June 21st during APPA’s National Conference in Washington, D.C..  Holman has been serving as OMPA’s General Manager since February 1, 2007.  Previously, she held the position of Director of Operations and CFO at OMPA.

Holman has been employed by OMPA since July 1985, starting as an Investment Analyst and has held several positions at the Authority since that time.  She assumed the Director of Operations and CFO position in the summer of 2005.

Holman also was recently elected as a member of the Transmission Access Policy Study Group’s (TAPS) Board of Directors.  TAPS was organized in 1989 as an informal association of transmission-dependent electric utilities to advocate for the improvement of the transmission grid in America.  Now representing utilities in more than 30 states, the organization recently incorporated to better fulfill its mission.

Based in Washington, D.C., APPA is the national service organization for the nation’s more than 2,000 community- and state-owned not-for-profit electric utilities serving 46 million customers.  OMPA is an agency of the State of Oklahoma that currently serves 38 municipal electric systems in Oklahoma.
