The City of Lindsay is seeking applications for a Journeyman Lineman. Duties include operating and maintaining the existing distribution system and construction of new distributions facilities, perform work on energized and non-energized circuits for the construction, maintenance and operation of power distribution system, climb poles or utilizes bucket attached to truck mounted boom to construct, maintain, and repair distribution power lines, ensure conformance to construction standards, code requirements, and specifications, continued learning of construction standards, code requirements, specifications as instructed by your supervisor, reads meters, connects and disconnects. Requirements include: Journeyman certification, possess or be able to obtain a Class B CDL, high school graduate/GED, and ability to work in physically demanding conditions and unfavorable weather conditions while handling dangerous equipment. Successful applicant must be able to work nights, holidays, weekends, and emergencies. Twenty-minute emergency response time preferred. The position is full time with benefits, step pay plan.
