Facilities Engineer or Sr. Facilities Engineer
Under general direction, provides engineering direction and support to the Authority’s Ponca City Power Plant and Kaw Hydro Plant. In conjunction with plant management identifies, scopes and implements plant improvement projects. Provides troubleshooting assistance to plant personnel. Monitor plant operations for maximum efficiency and conformance with permits.
Good understanding of power plant or industrial plant design and construction. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, relaying, instrumentation, water treatment and maintenance practices in a power generation facility. Plant engineering experience with gas turbines in a simple cycle or combined cycle power plant. Specific knowledge and experience with combustion turbine installation and maintenance procedures for LM6000s, Vogt HRSGs, WDPF and GE Mark V control systems a plus. Provide technical engineering expertise for equipment modification and repairs, provide analysis for technical problems, perform inspections, develop and maintain standards and procedures, assist production employees in engineering methods and prepare cost estimates and specifications for a combined cycle facility. Skills in both written and oral communications for effective expression of concepts. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with supervisor, contractors, representatives from agencies, city councils, elected officials and appointed officials and the public. Ability to read and interpret rules, regulations and permitting documents. Ability to analyze, organize and review work for efficient results and accuracy. Ability to perform complex statistical analysis and interpret the results.
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering and professional engineer registration preferred, however, a degree in a related field or an advance degree may be considered with sufficient related experience. Minimum of three (3) years experience in a related field required. The salary range is $68,868 to $127,945. Lineman - Laverne, Oklahoma
The Town of Laverne, Oklahoma is accepting applications for a Journey Lineworker for the Laverne Electric department. Laverne is a small community of 1100 people and maintains approximately 10 miles of 4160 volt main electric lines and two 2000 kilowatt CAT generators for peaking and standby power.
The Lineworker would be responsible for maintenance of the electric lines, trimming tree limbs from the lines and reading electric meters on a monthly basis for billing purposes.
The pay range is $18.00/hr to $21.00/hr. depending on qualifications and experience. The Town of Laverne provides employee health insurance including dental, vision and life insurance coverage.
